Aberdeen-born Hilary spent her formative years in London, or as she describes it "in exile".
While she returned north to live in Elgin over 40 years ago, she's never lost the travel bug and her recent retirement allowed her to indulge her "passion for adventure".
A committed conservationist, her journeys have taken her as far afield as Kenya on an Earthwatch Millennium Award field trip.
She's also dedicated much of her life to the whisky industry, having tended the gardens at Linkwood Distillery for some 25 years in addition to acting as a nosing panellist and trainer.
